Tobogganing

Zermatt youths give them names such as "Dok der Bob" and "Üz the red horse". They are "hot stuff": We're talking about toboggans, whose runners throw up sparks on the local toboggan runs. The downhill toboggan journey from Rotenboden lasts between five and ten minutes – and is great fun for all ages. The trains of the Gornergrat Bahn are available to take you back up the mountain, and run about every ten minutes. Tobogganing (sledging) is also possible on other paths – but not on ski pistes. Please observe the signs, and show consideration for pedestrians and the traffic.
