With the art project "Earth Plastic View" the artist Branko Šmon visualizes the current stock of plastic worldwide - approx. 7 billion tons, which in granulate form result in an extension of approx. 14 km3. The art project takes place at the Matterhorn in Zermatt, Switzerland, with its magnificent scenery.

With viewing frames, which the artist sets up at various vantage points in Zermatt, he shows how much of the Matterhorn could be filled with granulate. For the observer, the spatial dimensions of the plastic stock are thus visible.

Art App

For the project Šmon developed the "Earth Plastic View Art" app, which enhances the visualization of the plastic volume with various functions. It is about a multidimensional art experience, which extends the real experience at the Matterhorn by the virtual. With each app purchase, one euro is donated to innovative projects and sustainable solutions for sculpture.
