Enduro World Series
Enduro unites all facets of mountainbiking in one racing format. It is not a coincidence, that all the top athletes of the enduro world cup found their way into the Enduro World Series from different disciplines, such as cross country, downhill, marathon or bmx. The world’s best enduro racers will meet in Zermatt September 21st 2019 for the final round of the Enduro World Series to battle for the title of the most skilled all-rounder in mountainbiking.
In Zermatt all competitors have to reach the start of 6 special stages in a set time window. The special stages are taped race courses that run mainly downhill on natural trails, on which every rider races against the clock on his own. The stages are full of roots, rocks, drops and short uphills. The raceruns are between 5 and 20 minutes long. At the end of the day, the times of all special stages are added up and the rider with the fastest overall time wins the race. That way the riders are tested for their technical, tactical and physical abilities and the world’s most complete mountainbiker will be crowned Enduro World Series champion. Be there to witness the show and cheer on riders, when the series stops in Switzerland for the first time in the history of the sport!
