Lodge at the matterhorn glacier paradise
The Lodge Matterhorn Glacier Paradise will be closed from 1 May 2019 to 30 April 2021 due to construction work on the Klein Matterhorn.
Wake up in the morning at almost four thousand metres – that sounds like a special experience in itself. And the Matterhorn glacier paradise Lodge is only the starting point for your next adventure in the Valais Alps around Zermatt. A number of hikes, including high-Alpine tours, start from the peak of the Klein Matterhorn, at 3'883 metres where Europe’s highest mountain station is situated.
The modern accommodation has four rooms each with eight beds, two showers and toilets. It is the ideal base for hiking parties. The zero-energy building, which also houses the Matterhorn glacier paradise restaurant, the Peak Shop and a seminar room, was renovated in 2013. This ultramodern project is a model of sustainability and has earned Zermatt Bergbahnen AG several awards.
And the best thing is: the lodge is open year-round
