Discovering Testa Grigia

Testa Grigia – where Switzerland and Italy meet. A place of many adventures: SnowXperience Plateau Rosa has a beginners’ park for people making their first attempts in the snow, and from 2024 the park will feature a snow tubing hill. The site also has a shop and offers the services of ski instructors.

Remember to take a picture with one foot in Switzerland and the other in Italy. And be sure to visit the Una Montagna di Lavoro museum at an altitude of 3500 metres, which includes a presentation on the history of ski lifts in Breuil-Cervinia. The restaurant just beside the station serves delicious Italian specialities.

The SnowXperience Plateau Rosa activities park is now open, joining the other highlights in the Matterhorn Paradise. From your first steps in the snow to snow tubing (from 2024) and your introduction to skiing, the activities park offers fun in the snow for beginners and adventurers alike.

Experience the highest border crossing by cableway between Switzerland and Italy at first hand. The border on Testa Grigia makes it possible to stand with one foot in Switzerland and the other in Italy. This is where Switzerland and Italy literally come together.

Una Montagna di Lavoro

Das Museum Una Montagna di Lavoro befindet sich auf 3'500 m ü. M. Gelegen in der Nähe der Bergstation der alten Seilbahn ist es zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Audiovisuelle Medien und historische Fotografien erzählen die Geschichte der Skilifte von Breuil-Cervinia.

You can hire snow sports equipment and essential clothing in the valley station of the Matterhorn Glacier Ride II. The SnowXperience Plateau Rosa shop has a package with everything you need for your first “SnowXperience” for CHF 79 – including the services of an instructor in the beginners’ park.
