Additional insurance for seasonal & annual passes
Season and annual passes offer flexibility over a longer period. Optional additional insurance cover is available to provide extra peace of mind, making it easier to plan for unforeseen events.
Depending on the desired scope of benefits, the suitable insurance policy can be added directly during purchase.
For seasonal and annual passes, two optional additional insurance policies are available: SkipassAssur and SnowAssist. They differ in the benefits included and can be selected according to the planned use.
skipassassur
SkipassAssur is the ticket insurance for seasonal and annual passes and costs CHF 63 per season or CHF 69 per year.
The insurance provides a pro rata refund based on the unused days for:
- Ticket costs
- Ski lesson fees
- Ski equipment rental costs

snowassist
SnowAssist offers extended insurance cover for seasonal and annual passes and costs CHF 103 per season or CHF 114 per year.
In addition to a pro rata refund of ticket costs, ski lesson fees and ski equipment rental costs, SnowAssist also covers costs arising from an accident on the slopes. These include:
- Search and rescue costs
- Ambulance and helicopter transport costs
- Emergency medical treatment costs
- Provision of a driver
- Legal assistance
Personal liability insurance for the slopes of the Cervinia/Valtournenche ski area in Italy is also included.

pro rata refund
Both insurance policies include, as a key benefit, a partial refund based on the unused days for ticket costs, ski lesson fees and ski equipment rental costs.
This means that the unused part of the ticket or pass is refunded on a pro rata basis. To qualify for a refund, the relevant insurance policy must have been taken out and the ticket or pass must be unusable due to illness, accident or death of the insured person or a close relative.
Certain weather conditions are also covered if skiing in the Matterhorn Ski Paradise are not possible or not reasonable due to storms, avalanche danger or excessive snowfall.
