There is also plenty to discover at Matterhorn Paradise during the summer. Optional insurance policies are available for selected summer tickets, providing additional cover for your stay and greater peace of mind in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Depending on the offer and the desired scope of cover, the appropriate insurance can be added directly at the time of purchase.
Two optional additional insurance policies are available for selected summer products in the Matterhorn Paradise: SkipassAssur and SnowAssist. They offer additional protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances and can be taken out depending on the ticket and the desired scope of benefits.
skipassassur
SkipassAssur is the additional insurance policy for the Peak Pass and the Summer Ski Pass. It is available for tickets valid for two days or more and costs CHF 4 per day.
The insurance provides a pro rata refund based on the unused days for:
- Ticket costs
- Ski lesson fees
- Ski equipment rental costs

snowassist
SnowAssist extends the insurance cover for the Summer Ski Pass. It can be added from the first day and costs CHF 6 per day.
In addition to a pro rata refund of ticket costs, ski lesson fees and ski equipment rental costs, SnowAssist also covers costs arising from an accident on the slopes. These include:
- Search and rescue costs
- Ambulance and helicopter transport costs
- Emergency medical treatment costs
- Provision of a driver
- Legal assistance

pro rata refund
Both insurance policies include, as a key benefit, a partial refund based on the unused days for ticket costs, ski lesson fees and ski equipment rental costs.
This means that the unused part of the ticket or pass is refunded on a pro rata basis. To qualify for a refund, the relevant insurance policy must have been taken out and the ticket or pass must be unusable due to illness, accident or death of the insured person or a close relative.
Certain weather conditions are also covered if skiing in the Matterhorn Ski Paradise are not possible or not reasonable due to storms, avalanche danger or excessive snowfall.
