Webshop in general

You can recharge your ticket onto an existing KeyCard (Zermatt or other ski area with Skidata system) and use it to go straight through the turnstiles - no need to stand in line. In addition, you will get tge best price on tickets if you book as early as possible.

No, but we recommend that you do, as next time you visit the shop your details will already be saved and you won’t need to enter them again. 

In our webshop you can pay with the following payment methods:

In the checkout you can redeem gift vouchers of Zermatt Bergbahnen AG, as well as the destination gift vouchers (More Matterhorn). You can also redeem the superbons with value (e.g. First Track). 

Yes. We offer a variety of options. You can select a premium voucher worth CHF 20, 50 or 100, or an adventure voucher of your choice, or a personalized voucher you can print off at home. Click here for the voucher shop.

Yes. You just need the other person’s first and last names, and their date of birth.

No, these services are personal and non-transferable. You will have to show your ID if there are checks. 

The money-back guarantee ensures that the CUSTOMER will receive a refund for the cost of the services booked online in the event that she or he is unable to travel. The money-back guarantee costs CHF 10 per booking and covers the following:

  • CUSTOMERS with a profile at, may cancel a booking up to 48 hours before it becomes valid or prior to the departure date, or e-mail a cancellation request to ZBAG at 
  • If the CUSTOMER does not have a profile, ZBAG can cancel the booking 48 hours before it becomes valid or prior to the departure date upon request via e-mail to 
  • Forwarding charges will only be refunded if delivery of the products/services has not yet taken place.

For season passes, the money-back guarantee is valid as long as the pass remains unused, regardless of the start date of the validity. 

In no case can the money-back guarantee be refunded. 

As soon as the booking procedure has been completed you will receive a binding booking confirmation by email. If you do not receive an email, please check the following points or contact us directly:

  • Did you enter the correct email address? If not, we can easily adapt it for you.
  • Did you check your spam folder?

As soon as you have completed the online purchase it is binding. Zermatt Bergbahnen AG’s terms and conditions apply.

Online tickets

You can buy online tickets up to a few minutes before first using them. The one exception is when you buy a new KeyCard, which is sent out by post. This must be done at least five days before the validity period of the ticket begins. 

Yes. You can choose from the following flex ski passes:

  • 2 in 4 days
  • 3 in 5 days
  • 4 in 6 days
  • 5 in 7 days
  • 5 in season
  • 6 in 8 days

Please do not carry your flex ski pass on you when travelling as a pedestrian with a single/return ticket. Otherwise the ski day will still be used.

The 6-day ski pass can either be combined with the preceding afternoon (½ & 6) or with the following morning (6 & ½). In addition, there is even an option to add the previous morning and following afternoon to it (½ & 6 & ½).

For technical reasons, it is not possible to calculate whether one or more Saturdays fall within the validity of a ski pass of 8 or more days. Either in the web shop or at the points of sale, it is not possible to get this rate for more than 7 days. 

When booking a seasonal or annual pass you will need to submit a photo in addition to stating your first and last names and date of birth. Just upload the photo, fill in the details and you’re done. As an ID check has to be carried out with these passes, you can only collect your pass from one of our sales points (at the cash desk marked “pick-up”). Important: the earlier you book, the better the price!

After booking a seasonal or annual pass, you will receive a booklet containing numerous vouchers and coupons when you collect your pass from the sales point. Further details can be found here.

Children up to the age of nine are given a Wolli Card in Zermatt-Matterhorn. It is valid for one year from November to the end of October. The Wolli Card entitles children to free travel on all lifts/trains, free accommodation in many hotels and holiday apartments, exemption from visitor’s tax, plus they get to benefit from a number of other attractive offers. No, the ticket prices are exactly the same. However, the Matterhorn app has a smaller range of tickets to choose from. In the Matterhorn app you can load tickets onto the SBB Swisspass. The Matterhorn app is available to download free from the App Store or Google Play store.

All Skidata cards chan be recharged directly with the data carrier number (back, bottom right). With KeyCards from Zermatt you can even type in the short number (back, bottom left). If you would like to recharge your Swisspass, you can do so in our Matterhorn App.

Attention: Axxess cards can not be recharged in our webshop!

With the half-fare card/GA you get 50% off the following tickets:

  • Single & return tickets to all stations
  • Peak2Peak ticket, Gornergrat round trip ticket
  • Kombi-tickets
  • Bike passes

On the Peak Pass you get a 25% discount with the half-fare card/GA.

As a visual control is necessary for half-fare cards/GA, you cannot buy the reduced tickets in the web shop. We ask you to buy your tickets at one of our sales points.

Yes, we do. We will be happy to inform you about special offery via newsletter or our social media channels (Facebook: Matterhorn Zermatt Bergbahnen, IG: @zermattbergbahnen). It’s worth responding promptly to these as special offers can only be booked during predefined periods. 

If you already own a KeyCard, you can load the online ticket onto your card. It’s activated and valid after just a few minutes (no more than 30 minutes). With a newly purchased KeyCard dispatched by post, we will mail your ticket to any address in Europe specified by you. From a period of five days or less before the start date of the ticket, the only available option is on-site collection. 
If you choose the “pick-up” function (on-site collection), you can either get your ticket conveniently from one of the twelve ticket machines or collect it from one of our sales points (go to the desk with the “pick-up” sign). Please note that if you do not have a data carrier, a deposit of CHF 5 for each ticket will be charged at the sales point. The deposit will be refunded when you return your ticket(s) at one of our sales points in Zermatt.

Adventure offers

Early booking is recommended for any adventure offers. There is no guarantee of availability with late bookings.   

There are different reductions depending on the adventure offer. You can find this information for each offer under "Prices". In most cases, however, there is a discount for children unter 16 years and for half-fare/GA holders*.

*The reduced price, if available, also applies if you have a Swiss Travel Pass or if you have already purchased a Peak Pass.

When buying an adventure offer, you will receive a binding booking confirmation. You use this confirmation, i.e. the booking code contained therein (voucher), to redeem the service you have booked.

The amount you have already paid will automatically be credited using the same payment method you used for the reservation. 


Merchandise products are sent via Swiss Post AG. Delivery costs are charged to the expense of the purchaser and calculated according to weight and country. You can find the detailed prices in our booking conditions.

The average delivery time within Switzerland is 2–3 working days. Within Europe it is 3–5 working days and outside Europe 5–10 working days. Orders are processed and dispatched on weekdays from Monday to Friday.

Undamaged goods in their original packaging may be returned to ZBAG by post up to 30 days after receipt. To do so, a return form must be completed and enclosed with the return consignment. Delivery costs and payment charges are not generally reimbursed.

For hygienic reasons the following souvenirs are excluded from any exchange/returns:

  • all community masks
  • bandanas (with and without fleece)
  • pacifier

Gift vouchers

You can choose between a premium voucher worth CHF 20, 50 or 100, an adventure voucher of your choice, and a personalized voucher you can print off at home. Regardless of which voucher you choose, it can afterwards be redeemed for any Zermatt Bergbahnen AG services. This means that, for example, a First Track voucher can also be redeemed for a ski pass.

The gift vouchers can be redeemed at all sales points of Zermatt Bergbahnen AG (including the shops Blauherd and Furi), in the Matterhorn glacier paradise restaurant, online on, in the Matterhorn App, at the sales point of Gornergrat Bahn or at the tourism office. 

Since the gift vouchers have a monetary value, there is no expiration date.

Click on «gift cards» in the voucher navigation on the gift voucher page. In the input field, you can enter your code (below barcode) and find out the remaining value of your voucher. 

No, vouchers are not personal and can therefore be passed on to third parties.
