With the Smartphone-Ticket, access to the Matterhorn Paradise is nowcompletely mobile and digital. Instead of a KeyCard, your smartphone serves as the data carrier.

Your smartphone, which is always at hand anyway, thus becomes a practical means of access! A simple, convenient, and forward-looking solution for all winter sports and mountain lovers.

Buy a Smartphone-Ticket

You can purchase a Smartphone-Ticket online at matterhornparadise.ch or at the sales points on site. Various types of tickets are available as Smartphone-Tickets: from ski passes and excursion tickets to season passes.

A smartphone*, a valid Smartphone-Ticket and the Matterhorn App (Apple Store, Google Play Store). Only one ticket can be activated per smartphone. Keep the app running in the background so that the ticket remains active.

*not all smartphones are compatible! Smartphone-Tickets are available for devices with iOS 13 or higher and Android 8 or higher. Samsung S8 and S9 devices, as well as Oppos, OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices are not compatible.

If the ticket was purchased online, there is a QR code and a link in the booking confirmation. The ticket can be opened in different ways:

  • By clicking on the link
  • By scanning the QR code in the camera app or directly in the Matterhorn app

If the ticket is purchased at the point of sale, a purchase receipt with a QR code is issued. Open your ticket by scanning the QR code with the camera app or the Matterhorn app.

To use the ticket, click on “Activate” and activate Bluetooth and GPS services. The app must remain open in the background for the ticket to work. If the app is closed, the ticket is also deactivated.

Yes, you do not need to take your smartphone out of your pocket. However, the carrying position is important for the Smartphone-Ticket. It is best to carry your smartphone on the left-hand side in your breast pocket. A trouser pocket is not suitable as the reader is slightly higher. If the ticket is still not read, turn your upper body slightly towards the reader.

Yes, the only important thing is that each QR code is scanned by a different smartphone. Only one ticket can be activated per smartphone.

Please note that each code can only be scanned once! If the ticket is deleted, the same code cannot be scanned again. If you have any problems, please bring the purchase receipt with QR code/booking confirmation to one of our points of sale.

There are charging stations for smartphones at the Blauherd station. You can also buy power banks in our stores at Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, Furi and Blauherd. With smartphones that are no more than two years old, approx. 10-20% battery power is consumed by day. If the battery life is low, we recommend taking a power bank with you.

No. The app only requires an internet connection for the ticket download. For the use of the ticket no internet connection is required. The smartphone ticket also works in flight mode. Communication with the admission gates works via Bluetooth technology.

Yes, by entering the ski pass number (permission number) of the Smartphone-Ticket in Skiline/Peak Track, the digital ticket can also be tracked.

No. For each ticket, you must decide at the time of purchase which data carrier (KeyCard or smartphone) you would like to use for your ticket. A ticket with use on both data carriers can not be offered.

It is recommended that you do not carry any other cards near your smartphone when using it as a ticket. This is the same as with KeyCards, which are also not scanned optimally if other KeyCards or credit cards are stored in the immediate vicinity.

We are continuously expanding the range of Smartphone-Tickets available both in our web shop and at our sales points. If the ticket you want is available as Smartphone-Ticket, it will automatically be offered for selection in the web shop. It is not yet possible to purchase international tickets as Smartphone-Tickets.
