Three years ago, the opening of the Matterhorn Glacier Ride II between Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Testa Grigia created the highest-altitude cross-border cableway connection in the Alps. Since then, under the name Matterhorn Alpine Crossing, the route between Zermatt (CH) and Cervinia (IT) has provided a spectacular year-round link, delighting guests from all over the world.
What was once a vision has become a tourism experience with international appeal: starting the morning in Zermatt, gliding above glaciers and high-alpine landscapes with the iconic Matterhorn as a constant companion, and just a few hours later enjoying the Italian way of life in Cervinia or even in Milan.
