Final Stretch for the New Patrullarve Chairlift

The new Patrullarve chairlift is steadily taking shape. Over the past three months, construction has progressed according to schedule, with several important milestones achieved.

In mid-August, the 16 new pillars were flown to their locations by helicopter, installed on the prepared foundations and aligned. At the beginning of September, the nearly 4,000-metre-long haul rope was delivered. The rope has since been installed, and the rope splicing process, which joins the two ends of the rope, has been completed. Significant progress has also been made at both stations. The electrical cabinets have been installed in the technical and control rooms, and electrical wiring work is ongoing. At the mountain station, construction of the wooden structure for the chairlift garage was completed following the concrete works. The mechanical and electrical components required to store the chairs have also been installed.

Everything is now ready for the next major step: the 67 new chairs are scheduled to arrive in mid-October. They will be transported by helicopter to the mountain station, where they will be attached to the system. LEITNER will then begin the mechanical adjustment work, followed by the internal commissioning of the installation. At the same time, employees will receive training to prepare them for operating the new chairlift. The final inspection by the Swiss Federal Office of Transport is scheduled for the first week of December.

This marks the beginning of the project's decisive final phase. Over the coming weeks, the remaining work will be completed step by step, bringing the new Patrullarve chairlift ever closer to the start of operations.
