Modern station infrastructure for greater quality and comfort
The overall mountain experience also includes areas that rarely take centre stage. Zermatt Bergbahnen is therefore continuously upgrading its stations and making targeted investments in quality and comfort. At Furi, various areas have been renovated and refurbished.
A particular focus was placed on the toilet facilities. Cleanliness, comfort and a well-maintained appearance are crucial here in particular. The existing facilities have been comprehensively modernised and adapted to meet today’s requirements. The new facilities offer a contemporary, functional and well-maintained infrastructure.
The refurbished toilet facilities at Furi also serve as a model for future design. On this basis, the bathroom facilities at other locations are to be modernised in stages, including at Trockener Steg.
The guest area at Furi is also being upgraded. By mid-October, it will be fitted with a new, wear-resistant grey-blue floor covering, similar to that already in use at the Matterhorn-Express valley station.
The work on Furi is thus a prime example of the ongoing development of the station infrastructure. Zermatt Bergbahnen is committed to ensuring that guests experience high quality throughout their entire visit. This includes not only the great mountain experiences but also a well-maintained and comfortable infrastructure to meet everyday needs.
